I have never seen a candidate for office win an election while actively pursing an office higher than the one he is running for. Pretty stupid for Kasich and his "yes men" to be hyping up a presidential bid when his name ID is about 10 % in Ohio right now.
The last thing Ohio needs right now is a guy who could care less about being Governor. By the way, please hod the Strickland jokes right about now. At least he is showing up for work each day. Here is the bottom line, Ohio has re-elected its Governors for over 30 years in Ohio. Unless Kasich stops the arrogant "I am famous for being on FOXNEWS" bullshit and actually starts understanding that real Ohioans are facing many problems, old Ted Strickland will get re-elected. Come on John, shed the hollywood crap and start talking AND LISTENING to average Ohioans.
Your comments are alittle harsh. I think it is funny how the media talks about Republicans like Ken Blackwell and Kasich about running for higher office to hurt them…. But waited until Strickland won to spend 8 months talking about Strickland being VP, and talked about it in a very positive light.
John Kasich is not running for President again, ever.
Wow Donald. Short memory there. I remember it like it was only yesterday when every news outlet in the country had Strickland on a short list of VP names. Then again it seemed like only yesterday when he was riding that anti-Bush train straight to Popularityville and now that it's out of gas he's gotta rely on his rather thin record of turning Ohio around to win this next election. Kasich won't be running for higher office, and if he did, it would be after he wins a second term in the statehouse.
Oh and Donald, please tell me what Strickland has done to deserve reelection. People in this state aren't stupid and Strickland no longer has the newspapers propping him up as something that he isn't anymore. This whole argument that Ohioans have reelected Governers for the last 30 years doesn't carry much weight and sounds like a desperate attempt to remain positive about the situation.
Back to the point, I think it's kinda funny that Mathews admitted to liking Kasich, but then I remembered that Kasich was in Congress before Mathews went crazy
