It is confirmed by three credible sources that anti-gun Mike DeWine’s DC-based political consultant, Jon Seaton, former national field director for failed presidential candidate John McCain, has been fired and will be leaving DeWine’s campaign at the end of the year.

As this race for Attorney General has been seen by most political observers as a stepping stone by former Senator DeWine to rejoin the US Senate or perhaps run for Governor.

With DeWine’s campaign already violating election law twice (here and here), this is yet another example of what a disaster things are behind the scenes at DeWine HQ.

Update: Jesse Hathaway, who is the first person I heard the rumor from, tells us that Mark Weaver is going to be taking his spot. I have picked on him in the past, but Weaver is a talented guy. WHY MUST HE STICK WITH GOP SQUISHES!?
