Ohio Politicos Win 2010 Reed Awards

January 31, 2010 at 11:36 am Matt

From Campaigns & Elections’ Politics magazine:

The second annual Campaigns & Elections’ Politics magazine Reed Awards were presented this evening in Washington, D.C. to political and public affairs professionals at the top of their game. “Becoming a Reed Award finalist is tough. Actually winning a Reed Award is only accomplished by the most impressive creative political and public affairs talent in the world,” said Jordan Lieberman, publisher.

The judges were an interesting bunch, with famous names such as James Carville, Grover Norquist, Elanor Clift, Roger Stone, Chuck Todd, Juan Williams, and George Stephanopoulos along with many others.

As I’ve noted before, Matthew D. Parker’s clients pay dearly for his services and he just recently dumped Fred Dailey for Congress. But that shouldn’t discount their awards. Also, it is my understanding that much or all of their phone VoIP services are provided by the talented nerds at Victory Solutions in Shaker Heights.

And regardless of how you voted, it cannot be denied that the Issue 3 campaign, run by Tom Whatman’s Strategic Public Partners, was incredibly well run. Winning Connections organized their telephone town halls.

Communications Counsel is Mark Weaver’s firm and My School, My Choice Ohio is an important school choice group.

And I included ProjectVirgina, because Bill Todd, son of the prominent lawyer and former Columbus Mayoral Candidate, is in charge of this Twitter project. Very impressive stuff!
