Ken Blackwell Endorses Dave Yost for Auditor

March 10th, 2010 Matt View Comments

Ken Blackwell, my friend, mentor and reason I got involved in state politics, has endorsed Dave Yost for Auditor:

Ken Blackwell today endorsed Prosecutor Dave Yost for Auditor of State.

“Dave Yost is one of us — a man of integrity who shares and lives our values and convictions,” Blackwell said. “He knows that the government is reaching too far into our lives and too far into our pockets – and with his record and his experience, he has the tools he needs to fight for us.”

Blackwell is an icon among Ohio social conservatives and has often been the standard-bearer for people disaffected with the moderate wing of the Republican Party. “Ken Blackwell, like Barry Goldwater, was conservative long before it was cool to be conservative,” said Gene Pierce, a conservative political analyst. “Like Ken, Dave is pro-smaller government, pro-life, pro-family and pro-tax cuts. There should be no argument from Ohio Republicans about Dave’s heartfelt commitment to a conservative platform of government.”

Blackwell won the Statewide Republican Primary for Governor in 2006. “Ken anticipated and led the ‘No More RINOs’ movement,” Pierce added. “His endorsement will speak volumes in this primary, when people want true conservative leadership.”

Prosecutor Yost welcomed the endorsement. “I’ve known Ken Blackwell for years, and he does not speak lightly, or for the sake of convenience – he’s always about what he believes to be right. I am humbled and honored to have his strong support.”

Ken Blackwell is the most conservative candidate Ohio has ever had for Governor, and is now a major force within the national conservative movement.

Jennifer Brunner Embarassed By The “Hateful” Ohioans Who Voted to Defend Traditional Marriage in 2004

September 6th, 2009 Matt View Comments

According to JennyBenny, Ohio is actually very liberal, and you (yes, YOU!) SUPPORT “gay marriage,” but Ken Blackwell & evil Republican operatives tricked you in 2004.

The video is from Progress Ohio’s Candlelight Vigil for Buggery, where Jennifer received an award for endorsing further erosion of private-property rights:

Sooooooo just what hate is she talking about?

And what “faction?” The entire Ohio GOP establishment, Jim Petro, George Voinovich, and Mike DeWine opposed it. If this was just about politics, then why was the Ohio Republican Party actively campaigning AGAINST the interests of President Bush? If there was a faction, they could have met in a phone booth because it was Ken Blackwell by himself, standing on principle.

Also, isn’t comforting that 1 of the 3 potential replacements for Sen. Voinovich is happy to use the military as some sort of large-scale sociology project, instead of deferring to military commanders who actually know what they are talking about?

At this point, I would normally conclude by mentioning Jennifer Brunner’s work as the office manager for then-Secretary of State Sherrod Brown, where she turned a blind eye to an inner-office drug ring. But I’ll pass on that topic for now, because it might sound “hateful.”

More on Ted Kennedy

Ken Blackwell on National Review spoils this sickening media lovefest of a philandering murderer:

KEN BLACKWELL
We should pass Obamacare as a tribute to the Senate’s liberal lion, they tell us. And Ted Kennedy was the most liberal of the lions. He challenged President Carter from the far-left wing of a left-liberal party. He demanded taxpayer funding of abortion. He opposed low-income parents’ choosing safe and effective schools for their kids. He fought welfare reform — a reform that affirmed dignity, marriage, and work. He degraded the process of judicial confirmation, mauling Robert Bork and every constitutionalist nominee since. He fought to end true marriage — and marriage, not welfare, is the greatest boon to the poor. If we do pass Obamacare, it will achieve Ted Kennedy’s cherished goal of a government of the liberals, by the liberals, and for the liberals. If it’s lions versus Christians, I’ll stand with the Christians.

And I saw on another Ohio liberal blog that Kennedy was the leader of the anti-Reagan movement during the 1980s. This I do not deny, as Kennedy was so eager to politically harm President Reagan that he was willing to become a traitor and worked with Yuri Vladimirovich Andropov, who served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union.

Also, Buckeye State Blog has no reason to be upset about Ohio Sen. Tim Grendell’s comments about Chappaquiddick. Apparently, Sen. Kennedy LOVED joking about the situation:

And maybe Mary Jo Kopechne would think Kennedy was worth dying for.

Ken Blackwell vs. HuffPo

Ken Blackwell takes on the Huffington Post in his column today, for their incredibly offensive jokes about Sarah Palin’s family. Check it out here.

He applauds the efforts of the Kennedy family for their support of the Special Olympics, but didn’t mentioned its rarely discussed origin: Eunice Kennedy Shriver started the Special Olympics, and she did so after her sister Rosemary- who was a normal, healthy young woman- was no longer so after their father Joseph Kennedy had her lobotomized at age 23.

This is good news, as Ken Blackwell can offer his expertise to Republicans, after ACORN’s the US Census Bureau’s work is completed and new districts will need to be drawn.

Perhaps Stephen Koff didn’t get the memo from Connie Shultz about the unbiased & objective nature of the Plain Dealer, considering his vague, snarky last sentence.
